C3ll.net: About Cell-3

Cell-3 has been running for:

Cell-3 are an adult community of PC GAMERS.
Since our conception we have played many games including Counterstrike Source, Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty 2, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2: Project Reality, Battlefield 2142 , Red Orchestra, Call of Duty 4, Left 4 Dead & Call of Duty: World at War.

We like to put our main focus on a single game, but we still have to time to enjoy other games that we enjoy.
We have many laughs on comms no matter what game we are playing at the time.

We are a democratic clan, and we encourage people to raise issues for debate, particularly which game we run.

We have four divisions:

White Cell - is for non-contributing members who enjoy getting involved on our forum and having a chat on vent when they game. Normally this is made up of players who are under 18, and we are much stricter on White Cell applications for this reason.

Red Cell - are the majority of Cell-3, made up of age 18+ members who help towards website and server running costs, and in return they get admin control of our server and a say in all decision making.

Black Cell - are the clan admins who help keep everything running smoothly, dealing with applicants, running the website, managing the server, arranging matches etc.

Inactive - are the clan members who have gone inactive.

The founder and supreme admin of the C3ll community is Intimidator.

Here is some history about Cell-3

This is a general history of the community.

Cell-3 started life as a competitive gaming clan...the clan Cell-3 (game tag C3ll) was originally intended to be a Doom 3 clan believe it or not! and the domain was bought in December 2003. However it became apparent that Doom 3 would not have a particularly good multiplayer experience (indeed crap!), and so the plan was postponed and the website and forums lay empty for many months...

In June 2004 DirtyRat (UK), Jazz (Holland) and Intimidator (Portugal), came together and decided to create a new European clan based with democratic processes for deciding all things important! As the name Cell-3 coincidentally fitted the fact that 3 of us were starting the clan, and that it was a simple and easy name to remember; we decided to adopt the C3ll.net domain and started off with some crappy free forums!

Our first 24-slot Call Of Duty server and Ventrilo Comms channel went live on June 27th 2004 paid for solely by the founders, with the strong belief that they would soon attract more members in order to lower the large server contributions each of them had made, and hopefully pay for more servers in the future and therefore more fun!

With Jazz in charge of recruiting (and Intimidator inviting some old clan mates to join!) we had soon attracted some great new members and by September 2004 we had 12 full paying members age 18+ and about the same number of under 18 members!
We had also won our first league in the CoD Reality Zone Rifle Only Tournament! A fantastic achievement for a brand new clan! This ladder is now no longer in existence.

With C3ll being around for over 6 years now; a lot has changed in that space of time. A lot of members and admins have come and gone.
As of now C3ll stands with one Clan Leader and Founder : Intimidator, and 4 Black Cell Admins - Maleko, Red, Anarki and Tylo.

Intimidator dealing with the main running of the clan, Maleko dealing with the running and administration of the main C3ll website, Red with the PR and Recruitment, Anarki dealing with members and helping with game server setups, and finally Tylo being out newest admin, helping out with general management and members.

Cell-3 Now...

Cell-3 are now here to stay! We are a well organised and fun community, who believe every member has a say in how the community should be run and no opinion will be put down, ignored or censored! Arguing and debating the way forward is a part of life in Cell-3 if you want it! And all big decisions are put to a vote.
